ABOUT this solo
--------------------------
Here is another blues guitar solo in the key of E for the blues shuffle backing track, that I posted earlier on my channel. This one is played on my Gibson ES 335. After the solo, I talked a bit about the inspiration and concepts that I used for the solo. I like to use small snippets of inspiration from some of my guitar player heroes and piece them together to create something new. Ideas and licks that I used here stem from Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Matt Schofield, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and others. Most of the solo was pre-written (before recording), but the last bars were improvised. To my own surprise, I added quintuplets, a rhythm I practiced a few months ago, but struggled with the get it into my playing. I talk about this, hoping this can motivate you to keep on practicing new concepts, even if they are challenging at first.

Solo is mostly played in E minor pentatonic.

GEAR:
---------
Guitar: 2013 Gibson ES-335 (57 Classic Pickups)
Amps: Fractal AX8 (Marshall JTM-45 Model)
Strings: Ernie Ball Slinky 0.10
Blues tabs are written with Sibelius

Have fun with this video and tab! I hope you like the new split-screen I used.
