In this rock guitar solo video, I’m unleashing the dark magic of the D minor scale again. This time, the scale is modally mixed with some D Dorian and F major.
This flowing, epic, solo started as a melodic soloing improvisation that was musically inspired by classic rock bands like Journey and more progressive bands like Porcupine Tree.
The original visual inspiration came from the opening scene: a dark flight over infinite, looming sea waves. The second part of the track is a complex, pumping modern groove with a fierce wah-wah solo.
