In this intermediate guitar lesson, you’ll learn how to play some of my favorite E7 chord voicings chord (+ added tensions). I explain these music theory concepts with animations, chord diagrams, and demonstrations on the guitar. I also share the practical ways I use these blues, funk, and jazz chords in my band. These concepts work best on the electric guitar. The guitar I use is a Suhr Modern Pro.
Why the starry animations? 🙂
Learning the guitar can be very challenging at first, but since most people are visual learners, I believe it can be helpful to visualize chord shapes on the guitar neck creatively! There is a similarity between zodiac signs and chord & scale shapes on the guitar: both have a fixed form but can move around. When you can remember and visualize one shape, it will help your future learning process. Also, I like making animations and thought creating this might be a fun challenge (it certainly was).
